Festival Fashion, Sunset Solstice Moon, Boho Summer Fashion Lookbook
Festival season is a time to go play. Festivals are places where we can dress as our fantasy selves; where we can be free, wear whatever we like, be who we really are.
Bohomonde has and continues to be deeply inspired by the deserts of our home in Nevada. This shoot was done on the full moon summer solstice in the desert near where the Burning Man Festival is held.
"... the desert, where there is the communal book of moonlight. We were among the rumour of wells. In the palace of winds." Michael Ondaatje
Scarves are our favorite festival season accessory. They are so versatile and can take one simple piece and turn it into a captivating statement. Inspired by the gorgeous colors of the desert sunset, our Ashica and Kumari scarves are featured. We made the Ashica into a turban with a braided finish.
Our triangular kumari scarf is worn a top. We love the rust, burnt orange crochet trim, and the orange paisley print.
We believe in creative and fashion freedom. Continuously energized by creativity and creative people. We are always blown away by the Burning Man, and west coast festival community.
"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
"I'd forgotten how enlivening it could feel, seeing clearly and far. Aridity frees light. It also unleashes grandeur. The earth here wasn't cloaked in forest, nor draped in green. Green was pastoral, peaceful, mild. Desert beauty was "sublime" in the way that the romantic poets had used the word- not peaceful dales but rugged mountain faces, not reassuring but daunting nature, the earth's skin and haunches, its spines and angles arching prehistorically in sunlight."Author: Julene Bair
